After Completing my B.A. Degree in Fine Arts at San Jose State,
My career the construction started in 1978, when I started working for
Willow Structural Services, learning structural repairs. I advanced to
lead carpenter.
In 1980 I left Willow Structural Services and attended the 2 year
Construction Technology Program at Cabrillo Community College.
While there, I worked for Doug MacDonald, remodeling and improving
his residence in Boulder Creek. I also built a 2 bedroom & a bath
addition to my own home.
In 1982 I worked for Chandler & Johnson Construction in San
Francisco with my friend Steve Canning. We worked there for a little
over 2 years doing high end residential & commercial remodeling.
In 1984, I was back at the MacDonald property, working with
Stoughton Construction, adding on a 2nd floor addition, consisting of
3 bedrooms & a bath ( approximately 1000 sq. ft. ).
In 1985 I acquired my general contractors license and formally started
Briscoe Construction. Steve Canning and I had an informal
partnership & worked in several large additions in the Los Altos &
Palo Alto area.
I have been overseeing many residential & light commercial projects
in the Santa Cruz and Santa Clara county areas in the last 20 years.
I have many continuing customers that have remained faithful to
Briscoe Construction & I thank them all.
